The Australian Federal Police Association (AFPA) is proud to announce the commencement of the 2025 AFPA National Council at the Hyatt Hotel in Canberra.
AFPA President Alex Caruana welcomed delegates from across the country, emphasising the importance of this event in shaping the future of law enforcement and police advocacy.
“This year’s National Council is a critical opportunity for us to address key issues facing our members, including resourcing, mental health support, and industrial protections,” Mr Caruana said.
“We are bringing together experts, politicians, policymakers, and frontline officers to discuss the challenges and opportunities ahead. Our members dedicate their lives to protecting the community, and it’s vital that we continue to fight for their rights, safety, and well-being.”
The AFPA extends its sincere thanks to BankVic and TGB Lawyers for their generous sponsorship of this year’s event. Their ongoing support helps ensure that the AFPA can continue its advocacy and deliver real outcomes for members.
The National Council is held over two days and will feature keynote speakers, panel discussions, and workshops, providing a platform for meaningful dialogue and action on policing and law enforcement matters.
