Nominations are now open for the AFPA Convenor and Delegate Election (E2025/28)

31 July 2025

These roles are essential to the work we do. Convenors and Delegates are the link between members and the Association. They advocate for your interests, help address workplace issues, and play a key part in shaping the direction of the AFPA through the National Council.

The strength of the AFPA depends on having committed members step up to represent their zones. When every position is filled, it means all parts of the AFP are properly represented, and no one is left without a voice at the table. Without full participation, some zones risk being underrepresented, which weakens our ability to influence decisions that affect your work and wellbeing.

If you’ve ever thought about taking a more active role in improving your workplace, now’s the time to consider nominating. You can speak with a current Convenor or Delegate in your zone to learn more, or you’re welcome to contact the AFPA office directly on (02) 6285 1677 or by email at afpa@afpa.org.au.

Alternately, we will be hosting another information session for people who are interested in learning more about the role of Convenor and Delegate.  The next information session is on 5 August 2025 at 2:00pm (AEST).  The information session is hosted online and you can join using the teams link sent you on email.

Even if you don’t plan to run, your role as a voter matters. Make sure your AFPA membership details are current so you don’t miss any election material. If you’ve recently moved, changed jobs, or updated your contact details, get in touch with us as soon as possible to keep everything up to date.
